不少人都不清楚這三個phrases是否正確，以及它們的用法，就讓筆者作簡單說明：
next Tuesday: 以現在為基準的下星期二。例如，Let's go to Ocean Park next Tuesday. （下星期二一起去海洋公園吧。）
the next Tuesday: 同樣解作「下星期二」，但以基他時間為基準，常見於reported speech。例如：He said he would return the book to me the next Tuesday. （他說下星期二會還書給我。注意「下星期二」以「他」說這句話的時候為基準。）
on next Tuesday: 和中文的「在下星期二」的「在」一樣，on next Tuesday的「on」是多餘的。on next Tuesday因此並不正確。
